Application Requirements

1. A letter of application from the student, including a brief biography and an explanation of the student's background in mixed media art.
    
2. A written description of the student’s current or future educational plans and intentions, with an emphasis on art related classes, majors, or art school attendance.
    
3. 1 original 8 ½ x 11 collage, on any type of cardstock, stretched canvas box, canvas panel, or other sturdy medium. The applicant will be asked to sign a release form providing ZNE with permission to display a digital image of the artwork in the www.ZNEart.com website galleries, as well as one time resale rights for the piece. Overall copyright for the art remains that of the original artist.
    
4. Proof of financial need. This can be in the form of photocopies of other scholarship/grant applications, photocopies of tax forms from previous years, and/or a signed letter from the financial aid office of the applicant's school.
   
   Failure to include all of the requested information may be considered grounds for disqualification. Please write to let us know if you are unable to provide any of the above.
   
   Please note: While there is no fee for applying, your original collage will become the property of ZNEart.com, including (one time) resale rights. [Credit will always be given to the artist.] Please do not include a collage with your application that you wish to have returned to you.

Scholarship Information

Scholarship applications are reviewed by the ZNE Scholarship Committee, which is comprised of the members of the ZNE Fondante Tier of membership.

All decisions are final, and may not be appealed.

These are one time scholarships and will only be awarded once per recipient. Non-winning applicants are welcome to reapply.

Only one application per applicant will be accepted per round.

The application submission deadline for the coming year is April 15, 2006.

All qualified applicants will receive:

• Display of their artwork in the www.ZNEart.com website galleries.
• A one year free membership in the ZNE Supporting Membership tier. (A $12 value.)
