Gallery Guidelines
As a reminder, by joining ZNE you agreed to the following:
You acknowledged that you understood and accepted that your ZNE membership can be
terminated at any time without refund for violations including
committing fraud, repeated discussion board etiquette violations,
violating vendor communications guidelines, offering non-art items
under ZNE's auspices, or failing to deliver artwork properly to
buyers.
You also agreed to abide by the terms of
service.
Please note that each of the galleries have their own set of Guidelines
& Rules.
GENERAL RULES FOR CREATING YOUR ALBUMS (Rev. 8/19)
- Unless you are a moderator or an administrator of the gallery, all
images that you upload to the galleries must be your own and you must
have full copyrights to those images.
- Links and banners may be used in the album descriptions, however,
please limit the size of banners and/or images to no more than 300
pixels wide (depending on your highlighted image) and no more than 150
pixels high. Images and links should be created using HTML only (as a
rule of thumb, if you do not know the basics of HTML, please do not
attempt it).
- Please keep your title to a minimum of 40 characters (including
spaces and symbols). The moderators reserve the right to edit, if
necessary.
- Limit the number of characters in your gallery index description
(i.e. when you're in the view that lists the individual member's albums
with one highlight picture) to no more than 350 characters (including
spaces & symbols) -- or 12 lines when logged out (when you're logged in
the spacing differs from when you're logged out, so make sure it doesn't
exceed 12 lines from the pink horizontal line to where it says "Owner:".
Example: Kim (imagesbykim) has 11 lines, including the blank lines in
between. It should be more of a summary rather than a detailed
description.
Then you can make the description as long as you like within your
album. To do this, while you're logged in, go into your album, click on
the drop down menu and select properties. There will be a text box at
the top that you can add your LONG description to.
- Sub-albums can be created within the main albums, however, they will
not be listed on the main album index - they will show up like regular
photos in your main album, but with "Album:" next to the title.
- Do NOT use the "Featured Photo" feature in the individual images'
drop down menus - this is reserved for the mods and admin. You CAN
use the "Highlight Photo" feature, which will make that image your main
gallery photo.
- Limit your upload file sizes to under 1MB (around there will
still take time to load) -- keep the file sizes as small as possible
without reducing/sacrificing the quality of your art piece. All
larger artpieces uploaded will be automatically reduced to 600pixels
wide or tall and displayed at 500 pixels wide or tall.
- You MAY change the color scheme of your individual album where your
thumbnails are located by selecting the Properties field of the drop
down menu.
- Albums that are EMPTY for over a week will be removed, but you may
recreate another one at your leisure.
- Albums that are left UNTITLED, will be titled by a mod or admin, but
you may change it at any time.
- If you are unsure about how to setup an album please email the
Administrator (tech@zneart.com)
for access to the Setup Basics Documentation.
- Since the ZNE Contests & Projects Galleries will have community
related albums, please be courteous to your fellow artists.
Permissions will be limited to adding and deleting of images in certain
albums.
- Voting is restricted to one per album. But you may change your vote
at any time while the voting process is enabled.
- Commenting on images is allowed, if you are logged in, however,
again, please be courteous and abide by the ZNE terms of service.
- Moderators and the Administrator have the right to make
modifications to titles, descriptions, HTML, and/or images if necessary.
Thank you! |
